Amberley walk - Saturday 24 September 2016 Previous Next Sunny but blustery by Amberley War Memorial We set off across the common Patrick kindly back marking There's always plenty to talk about A bit of colour around Down a difficult path by Winstones Half way down Then there is more uneven path Yellow markings to slow us down! As we cross over the railway line And descend to the canal This is what is going on There's some work today Past the Ship at Brimscombe A lovely fuchsia We stop on Brimscombe Hill And leave the cemetery It's a brambly path upwards Heather doesn't seem to mind And lumpy under foot But we're soon on a better path Dicing with the cars at Besbury Alfie, the donkey, seems to want to be alone Instead of fraternising with his mates A crossing point for the Five Valleys walk tomorrow Cows and cars in close proximity Then we are heading back to Amberley and the War Memorial Photos by Mike, captions, processing and uploading by Sally
