Arlingham walk - Saturday 19 October 2019 Previous Next All Olivia squints into the sun as she stands outside the Red Lion at the start of her walk Hurriedly getting to the side of the road to avoid a marauding tractor Nose in trough. Feet in mud. Happy pig And happy babies Peter took this photo and Sue found out they were markers to identify which stretch of the Severn bank each household had to maintain Peter is cowman today We make our way round the edge of a field Looking back across the river Then starting uphill Where we have more views of the river A muddy gateway Then downhill Stopping at the bottom To admire this chap With Wick Court in the background Before we come out onto the bank of the Severn Looking up the wide expanse of river We come to a rotted footbridge Over which Olivia nearly comes to grief - duly reported on Ramblers App Certainly seen better days More views of the river May Hill on the other side Don't think that will do much more ploughing Thankfully we get round the shooting range unharmed We continue past two coloured horses in a waterlogged field Then more water And past Slowwe House still being renovated, back to the cars Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
