Arlingham walk - Saturday 9 December 2017 Previous Next The markings on the wall of the house opposite the Red Lion at Arlingham - what are they? Colin is leading us on this cold morning A miracle! Brian volunteering as back marker - running out of opportunities to do it in 2017? We pass this modern house on the edge of the village which some of us think we have seen advertised for sale recently Icy patches Andrew impersonating a greyhound? Looks more like a chicken to me! A flat field - Brian's hat very visible Colin waits in a field With a pair of shire horses In the next field there are curious alpacas And not so curious geese - keeping out of sight as Christmas approaches Our "high point" - Barrow Hill Colin waits at the bottom As the last people come through the gate Views from the top Of the River Severn In all directions The Malverns in the distance - is that a sprinkling of snow on the top? You could be at the seaside Small sheep A farm tidy-up or scrap metal merchant? Franceska goes to investigate We're on the Skylark Way and the Severn Way This house near Fretherne must have amazing views Tide has come in a lot since we left Barrow Hill May Hill in the distance We follow the path beside the river Back to Arlingham With cows near the houses A nice sentiment But it doesn't look too attractive.
