Arlingham walk - Wednesday 25 October 2017 Previous Next Outside the Red Lion The first of two wells in Arlingham gardens Silver Street A plaque from 2002 Lots of Old Spot and Tamworth piglets Which we all stop to admire Snouts through the fence And curly tails Old milestones What a good use for old tractor tyres! This dog eyes us from above More wildlife on the duckpond These two were playing Bobbing Apple - a bit early for Halloween There's even a bus station here At last we catch a view of the river These solar panels should do well on this beautiful sunny day The bend in the river From the top of Barrow Hill we can just see Gloucester Cathedral on the skyline A lovely view The Malverns in the distance The topograph Geese at Wyck Court Where Graham enjoys an ancient tree And the rest of us sit on the logs for coffee Enjoying the sunshine Loads of mistletoe but not very accessible Richard and Ray support a very wobbly stile Thistle heads A beautiful view over the river Roses out in this sunny spot And a different variety We get very spread out when the people at the front think they are following Steve instead of two complete strangers! May Hill in the distance Interesting strata On the return to Arlingham we think we have found the mums of some of the piglets We cross fields to the village And head back to the Red Lion for a very good lunch.
