Around Minchinhampton Common - Wednesday 9 June 2021 Previous Next All As we head towards Brimscombe Hill we find these huge mushrooms Discussion as to whether they are edible A profusion of buttercups We think it's cotoneaster Poppies on the verge This little grotto inside a tree Changes from time to time Cows trying to get in the shade Horses not so bothered And the sheep at Hyde have been shorn We're being watched - it's been a bit of farm animals bonanza today Good time for wild flowers Heading towards Old Common Snack stop, some in shade, some in sun This is not just ANY OLD patch of grass! It is where the dragon orchid has been found Though not today. Sue is disappointed. We head towards Pinfarthings and then back to Amberley. Photos by Ros, captions and uploading by Sally
