We leave Avening and follow the path with view across to Gatcombe
Is that markings or mud?
Coffee break in the sun
Into Box with its church’s golden spire
And its topiary man – very tidy haircut this time
Out of Box Woods where now there is a gate instead of a hazardous jump onto the road
A perilous descent
Relief! We made it
Crossing over the Avening Road we ascend, where someone has worked hard to make this sign
As predicted, it’s wet underfoot
Think this stile and fence should be at a different angle
