Ray meets us in his garden, a former orchard, which has room for our cars. He thinks there will be an odd shower. How wrong the forecast will prove to be.
There are also wild flowers. These canes are to remind Ray not to mow some particular wild flowers when on his ride on mower
More views of the old orchard
Plenty of fruit
We set off, puzzling what this might mean
Ripening crops
It is precipitating more
Ancient trees
Yes it is raining
Two horses are pleased to see us
Lovely weather ...
... We've got our coats on!
We continue
Across more meadows
The crop is ready to harvest
But the ground is too wet
More fields
What are these?
We cross the old wide drove road, Lip Lane
Pot holes here too!
We are nearly back
Yes, we recognise this path
And there's the Lammastide Inn, no food on a Monday 🙁
We head back towards the orchard
And thank Ray for another good walk
