Berkeley walk - Saturday 6 October 2018 Previous Next It's a miserable day and we're in Berkeley For Ann's Dursley Walking Festival walk The Mariners Arms is up for sale - not supported by mariners any more We walk along the Pill The Deer Park in the distance Past a luxury camper with its own artificial lawn And a flash name Mistletoe We walk along the road towards the power station The cattle also look miserable and wet We finally get to the power station And spot these trains behind the hedge One with a Royal Mail logo We emerge by the River Severn For putting calves in, I'm told Lots of Canadian geese From this point you can see Oldbury and Berkeley Nuclear Power stations Through a field of turnips Our visitors from Wotton have come specially to see the deer They are not disappointed Views across the Severn An impressive tree Not sure you need a boat at the Deer Park More deer at the top With the lighter coloured ones showing up well Through Ham and below Berkeley Castle There's a wedding going on We finish with amusement at the contortions needed to get over this gate.
