Berkeley walk - Wednesday 10 July 2019 Previous Next All Still keen on their bikes in Berkeley We follow a well trodden footpath out of town Round a growing field of maize After this our path gets difficult And we sometimes need our water wings But soon the path gets better And we cross a road Heading towards Sharpness Decorating the gate of a stable yard Across a field Wonder if they came from the stables we just passed Stopping to look at flowers Very colourful The old school And the old boat on the green where we take a breather Looking at the Severn and across to Lydney More flowers Now heading down the river Giant fly killer? Or navigation light More views across the river The power station A pause as we leave the river, everyone heading for shade Now heading inland Another pause and a talk from our leader Followed intently by all Our path passes a very large motor home As we continue along Berkeley Pill The Estate Flour Mill across the fields As we head back into Berkeley Past a closed Mariners Arms More bicycles And an alms house Dedicated by Mrs Fitzhardinge to Mr Fitzhardinge.
