Bisley walk - Wednesday 27 February 2019 Previous Next The sun glasses say it all. A sunny day We leave Bisley across fields And down into Battlescombe With its ponds and farm On down the valley Through a shady nook By a babbling brook Climbing Juniper Hill we look down on a pond Before timber works force a short diversion Now heading down into Edgeworth With coffee in the churchyard A look inside at the infamous floor mat at the bottom of this picture And at the wall coverings Outside new topiary is taking shape As we leave the church we are being watched Making our way round the valley Past a small pond And along the top of the hill Then dropping down through the woods To Valley Farm Along the stream Which we cross at the bottom of the valley Then out in the open And along the road Stopping to look back to Bull Banks as we climb uphill With a pause at the top after struggling up Before heading into Miserden for lunch With views over the Park Where new born lambs are in evidence Then down into the valley Looking across to Througham as we climb the other side And back to the large houses of Sudgrove Used to be a stile - now it's a gap One more valley to cross and down we go Across the stream at the bottom And up the other side Looking back across the valley Then heading back into Bisley Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
