A select group assemble at Brimpsfield village hall.
Out along a path past some beautiful dahlias
Sue C our leader spots Guelder rose berries autumn nearly here
Around a field of corn with wild flowers
Sue spots Herb Paris this time in the wood also called True Lover’s Knot
We pause to taste the wild Raspberries
As we enter the next field we are warned to shut the gate
But we see no cattle!
Coffee time in Caudle Green, all socially distanced
Past two huge Redwoods, we ponder why they were planted here?
Then along the valley and back to Brimpsfield village where Jill tells us that bits of the old castle have been incorporated into village houses
One just above the lintel on the window
Past the K6 Telephone box, we remember these
With lots of historical information and old posters
We return to our cars past the memorial.
