Brimpsfield walk - Wednesday 16 August 2017 Previous Next Brimpsfield village hall. Colin looks bemused at the crowd of 30 Ramblers on his walk We are greeted by the village donkeys Now that's a sign worth following But it's just the name of a house Nice house though We follow a narrow lane Then a footpath past a secluded pond Continuing down the valley An avenue of trees The valley opening up towards the bottom Past a cottage Then up to Caudle Green where we take our morning break The house across the green As we are watched by a friendly horse with flies and a diamond blaze Looking back downhill and over to Syde As we continue uphill through the village Our path now takes us round a field And a field of corn Into the woods On a wide forest track Crossing the road at Climperwell Before heading across fields And between hedgerows Plenty of wild flowers The village hall and our cars now in sight Garden specialisilng in Dahlias Nice big sow What can that flower be? Yes, it's an artichoke plant Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
