Brimscombe evening walk - Thursday 7 July 2016 Previous Next Competing with football and tennis. A small but select group assemble in the Ship Inn car park for Ann's walk We go along the canal, past this dredger Onomatopoeically named Trish spots a heron in the trees - can't be many fish in the canal here This moorhen has found the small amount of water still remaining Because most of it is mud The cat at Bowbridge is totally unconcerned when Keith approaches. After a small muddy patch, this little stream allows some to wash their boots. The chapel on Bisley Road, and its copper-coloured trees The mannequins are still here Love the flower-pot hat Tastefully arranged These two between the foxgloves and the compost bin Not one of the new suppliers of gas and electricity, but an energy drink We thought we'd done the hill! Looking down on the house below With its tennis court - perhaps it will produce the next British Wimbledon champion! We all have to breathe in to get through this gap A stone friar Across the valley a marquee can be seen on Minchinhampton Common Finally we descend a dark lane to get us back to the pub.
