Waiting for Ann to start
As we head uphill
I washed my hair and can't do a thing with it
Looking down into the valley
We regain the road
Pausing for coffee as we enter Cowcombe Woods
Yes, the path goes through the middle
On through the woods and across Cowcombe Hill
Over the railway
Where we follow the canal path
Past the old round house
Taking to the road due to an underwater towpath where we spot this character
Our route takes us to the Roundabouts
Some interesting gate posts
We continue along Besbury Common
Must be the new coffee lounge
And, after crossing Hyde Hill, continue along the valley
As we follow a woodland track things get a little damp
The remains of old quarry buildings
To descend on the other side
And down into Chalford Valley
Between river and canal with the Brunel Viaduct to our left
St Mary's church behind us
As we make our way back to the start.
