We set off along the canal on a misty morning
Then head uphill
Towards Swells Hill
Along the side of the valley
To the ice cream and Christmas Tree parlour
The look says it all
Continuing along the common
Across the road
To the other side of the common with views of Selsley
Starting downhill
Doverow Hill and the valley laid out before us
Rodborough Church in the centre of the photo
The Kestrels
And Rodborough Fort above us
For coffee we stop at the Pavilion
Watched by a robin
Then continue downhill
Towards Fromebanks
Been doing a bit of off roading
The River Frome flowing through Stroud
We follow it
As it meanders through a wooded area
At times a raging torrent
Bridge carrying the by-pass
And a chance to pose
Underneath the arches
The canal passing under the viaduct
And a glimpse of the river through the arches
Bowbridge lock
Continuing along the canal
Approaching a bridge
Same bridge from the sunny side
Jubilee bridge
And another lock
Who said they couldn't get a boat up this far?
Past the new brewery
And along the canal back to the start.
