Bulls Cross walk - Saturday 20 February 2016 Previous Next Heather and Mike in deep discussion Time to go as we head away from Bulls Cross Looking across to Painswick as we go downhill That house must have seen better days Crossing the valley we head uphill Along a gushing stream More snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils Must be some sort of granny flat A cat comes out to greet us A gnarled old tree Looking up the valley to Painswick Beacon and Cud Hill We pick up the Wysis Way ast the Blow Family memorial on Cud Hill A quick look at the graves Reaching Painswick Beacon some go over the top while others go round the bottom to meet them And we all thought he rode a donkey Back down into the Painswick Valley A place for lunch near Paradise Then a pause to look at the kissing gate and bench put in in memory of Tom Capper Then a pause to look at the kissing gate and bench put in in memory of Tom Capper Down through Damsells Farm Some Herdwick sheep A famous view Past an old mill pond Then along the Painswick stream And back uphill Before walking along the side of the valley back to Bulls Cross Through Blackstable Wood.
