We are ready for heavy downpours
We pass St Matthews Church, Cainscross
Passing under the railway
Some people are feeling the heat
Through the maize
And past the vines
We head downhill
Passing Wycliffe sports field
And reach the canal at Ryeford
Some shelter from the drizzle
We climb up past the striking Ryeford Double Locks
At Ebley Mill we decide whether to shortcut back
Or take a diversion via the meadows as a towpath bridge is closed. We arrive back just in time to escape a heavy shower. Lucky us!
