Cam Peak walk - Wednesday 11 September 2019 Previous Next All The remnant of Hurricane Dorian is upon us, as we assemble for Peter and Sue's walk It's a bracing wind as we set off Towards Cam church Where Under 5s get tea, coffee and cake A very tidy graveyard Pete thinks this is an Italian version of the Mini with its different grille We cross the road at the Police Station And ascend steeply to get views over Dursley And a coffee stop A bit of road walking Then we're in the Sculpture trail This butterfly made of bottle tops Could have come in useful if the weather hadn't improved A mosaic lion One of the original sculptures needs some TLC Woodland animals Both high and low All much improved since the last time I came through Views across the river And to Cam Peak A pair of donkeys We agree Heading towards Cam Peak With some curious cattle An artistically framed photo of Smallpox Hill - or not And views over the Severn as we head down to the car park.
