Cam Peak walk - Wednesday 5 October 2016 Previous Next Is it the traffic chaos in Nailsworth caused by a water leak or the thought of a Terrain 3 walk that means numbers are rather depleted? This select group start to ascend Cam Peak, looking down on our cars in the car park And on Cam Our cars are smaller now The ubiquitous creamery at Stonehouse A rather disappointing letter box for such a nice house Cute characters in this allotment And their companions We pass through Dursley churchyard and the grave of this captain whose mission was to preserve the Irish wolfhound. Still some colour in sunny gardens Dappled sunlight Then pass Stinchcombe Golf Club From this lofty position we can look down on our starting point And on Dursley, especially Rednock School And the building going on around the Lister site (and the Long Stay car park!) Views across to Cam Long Down, Cam Peak and Downham Hill Another descent And we emerge by Dursley Police Station There are more of these shopping trolleys here Next to the original water supply for Dursley A good view of Cam Peak ahead Not sure what class this races/raced in We touch the Lantern Way from time to time Pass the backs of houses And go through the churchyard at Cam to return to our start Photos, captions, processing and uploading by Sally
