Castle Combe walk - Wednesday 30 August 2017 Previous Next We meet Derek in the Castle Combe car park on a wet morning We pass the golf course And go over the bridge Past a lake To the clapper bridge Which we cross. (Camera goes away for a bit because of the rain) It comes out again as it's bit brighter for our coffee stop We're not lost! We briefly walk along the A420 Where it seems a bit noisy for barn owls Doesn't apply to us After a short hill we follow a contour path A tricky stile. Ann gets help And makes it over. Chinese lanterns looking colourful on a dull day Into the hamlet of Long Dean A house down in the ByBrook valley Past donkeys They don't seem too bothered by the weather Across the ByBrook Some amazing weeping willows Along the road Keeping close to the brook And into Castle Combe village.
