Charfield leisurely walk - Monday 15 August 2016 Previous Next A wonderfully sunny morning brings out 26 of us on Anne's walk What a display at the edge of Charfield Village Hall car park And also in the village Charfield, a place with a history We head along a quiet lane Past lovely flowers Anne leading on the grass Through fields Lucky children to have such a facility We arrive at Huntingford Mill These are converted stables With more gardens to admire A new use for the old zinc tub Uphill we go To a shady spot for our drink stop And a chat Local produce on board a local bike The local Ramblers have been busy We continue past ploughed fields A solar farm catches the eye And the modern Renishaw building Heading back now Ready for harvesting? Cotswold Hills getting nearer Large lamb still demanding from mother We pass three fine horses Some of us skirt them, others make friends Odd bits of shade are welcome Over the stream And more shade Now heading back to Charfield Sadly for us the pub is not quite ready for us (opening later in the week) And we return back to the cars Photos and captions, processing and uploading by Mike
