Chedworth walk - Wednesday 30 May 2018 Previous Next The faces say it all. It's wet and miserable but Jill is ready to entertain us And we leave the airfield The first of many. A Roman snail Continuing along a forest track Sometimes under water This snail has come out to say hello Now surrounded by towering trees As we follow the track Meandering through the woods Back into the open and the tower of Withington Church is in front, half hidden by trees We reach the edge of the village Nice flowers Seen better days Past the Old Mill Leaving the road We continue to Riverside Cottage, home of exotic plants Creatures And flowers Pull the other one He brought his boat along We pass under a disused railway And follow a narrow path Compton Lacey to our left Tucked down in the valley We head uphill Over a stile Orchids And horseshoe fungus More woodland Still on the track More uphill And back to the airfield With its old runway Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
