Mist over the River Severn
As we assemble at Coaley Peak for Peter and Sue’s walk
We pass the pub in Nympsfield
Railings decorated with poppies
And crocheted ones on the verge
We carry on along the Miry Valley
Where we’re watched from above
Giant fungus (and Alex’s boot)
A right scramble
Though Pete goes a different way
Into Forest Green
With views over to Rodborough Fort
And the vineyard
In Woodchester Park signs of clearing
And what they have cleared

As we return to Coaley Peak we see a hangglider (in fact there are several, apparently it’s their last chance to get up in the air before the winter)
