Coaley walk - Saturday 26 March 2016 Previous Next Only Steve turns up for the start of our walk but rain is not forecast until 3 p.m. so we decide to go ahead Maria – delayed by road closure soon catches up After a short pause to rescue a sheep from the hedge we head up towards Coaley Wood Bluebells and Wood Garlic are starting to flower in Coaley Wood We decide to avoid the blustery winds on Long Down and stay in the valley Cross on Cam Peak for Easter We head over fields to Dursley Past Chestal House Coffee in the old bank Steve has trouble in walking past the Old Spot, his favourite pub! Following the Lantern Way Views back over Dursley Down the side of the Police Station We pause at the Holy Well Water for Cam since Roman Times A breezy picnic outside St Georges We head back over the fields to Coaley before the rain sets in Photos and captions by Peter, processed by Sally and uploaded by Mike
