Coaley Walk - Wednesday 31 January 2018 Previous Next Gathering by the roadside in Coaley With Sally as Editor/Processor what can I say? Coaley Church Guess what they have been doing in the village school The first of many stiles Before we head off through a field of sheep Cam Peak in front of us More soggy fields A stream cutting a deep path through this field And the grotesque remains of a tree Queuing for another stile Just what you expect to find at a sewage works On to Halmore Mill Ramblers appearing out of the hedge Our next point of interest is an electricity sub station Then a bridge over a stream next to a disused railway bridge The stream in full spate thanks to recent rain Here we stop for coffee Before continuing on our way Quite a tricky stile A slight uphill climb Giving us views over to May Hill Mike leading the way through a kissing gate Views over to Coaley Church - our destination Yet another muddy gateway Followed by another stile Picking our way round more mud Don't think that machine will be going far Climbing gently uphill Look what Brian has found Just needs one of the group's more sporting members to show us how it is done A recently replaced stile - but not walker friendly Nearly back - there is the Church Today's snowdrops Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
