Cockleford walk - Saturday 4 November 2017 Previous Next Ros is in charge today We pass the Girl Guide centre where there is an event going on in the hall And on past Cowley Manor It's a murky day, with mist on the hills in the distance But the trees are amazing This red acer at the front with an interesting trunk behind Looks beautiful by the lake It's obviously rained a lot over night The clocks are wrong We follow a flat path This fox sculpture Joins our old friend Warhorse The alpacas are real No problem knowing where the path is: Enid backmarking Gloucestershire Way Past peaceful cattle The dogs in this kennel weren't so peaceful and could be heard from far away Shab Hill communications mast is our spot for coffee and communication We look across fields at this interesting sky Some muddy paths Then past some colourful trees with a shooting party ahead Graham wanted me to take a photo of this larch (golden, in the centre) An adventure playground So we are back at the Guiding Centre With good facilities for camping Then into the car park at the Green Dragon for lunch.
