Cripplegate walk - Wednesday 6 January 2016 Previous Next Who is Richard, our leader, talking to? It's Les, who got caught up in Stroud's awful traffic jam, and has only just made it We set off through the woods A Salvador Dali-esque work of art, or just a pile of logs? Our leader emerges into the long forgotten sunshine And we follow Though the Creamery is still in mist No little pigs here now in Three Bears Wood But plenty of chickens at Far Westrip Farm And the cows seem to be enjoying the sun too It's a slippery climb up from the farm We wait at the top And then it's coffee time Ebley Mill still in a haze Sunshine through the clouds We descend White Dead Nettle in flower Blue sky, green field Butterbur, Sue tells us Catch a falling star (from St. John's in Randwick) - or maybe it's being taken down for Twelfth Night Anything to do with the emissions scandal? I don't know what caption to put here! It's gone one o'clock but the mist hasn't cleared lower down Light over Selsley Common Whiteshill Village Car Park across the valley As we puff our way up the Throat, we find the appropriately named Lungwort (Pulmonaria) in flower - but it doesn't help The top!! But it's bloomin' hard work getting there! Photos, captions and processing by Sally, uploaded by Mike
