Eastington leisurely walk - Monday 15 May 2017 Previous Next No prizes for guessing our location in Eastington - the Badger Inn We admire their imaginative recycling of old objects Into flower tubs And even a cable reel table! The garden is very attractive, even in the drizzle Margaret welcomes us And off we go Across the fields Keeping in single file In an orderly fashion This tree could tell a tale As could this one The way is very well marked Whoops, some repair needed here Chris takes it carefully The farmer has marked the route clearly - a few surplus tacks - is this a piece of art? Some solar panel! A cosy spot for our coffee stop We know where to come next Christmas Distant views of Cam Long Down And the scrambling track near Coaley Peak Even over to Randwick Woods Never likely to be muddy here Violets are blue Buttercups galore We don't see many walkers round here! More repairs needed here Lots of footpaths round here Including ones the farmer doesn't want The last of the summer wine? And Margaret leads us back to the pub.
