Egypt Mill walk - Wednesday 15 June 2016 Previous Next A good turnout on a day with a bad forecast, but Ann confidently (and correctly) predicts we won't get wet. We pause outside Dunkirk Manor And pass houses with formal gardens, More colourful gardens And one with a lady playing a lyre (or similar!) The climb is steep Tony doing a good job as back marker in the distance. Just below the Amberley Inn we come across Pyramidal Orchids Among birds' foot trefoil and buttercups We cross the road on the common above Amberley Primary School This cow kindly turns her head to reveal her reflective collar We sit in a long line for coffee Through Minch to Box Lane We distract this cat from his search in the long grass From Box you can clearly see the new structure at Beaudesert School With Scars Hill below Through Box Village Another lovely garden - but it was Box Open Gardens at the weekend - so you would expect this A difficult stone stile onto Pensile Way Which we follow back to Nailsworth and our lunch.
