We set off from Foston's Ash
On the high or the low road
Through a narrow wood
Snow has fallen
We now head across a wide lawned bridleway
Winter ploughing has been completed
We reach the road
And start to pass snowdrifts
Facing west (the snow came from the east)
A very nice new gate
We continue
Heather is curious
No one appears to be buried here
A particularly extensive drift
An economy measure - we now enter Lord's Wood, further on is Lady's Wood

Belted Galloways are wintering in an adjacent field

Far end of Workman's Wood
With a pleasant glade
We make the long ascent
Back to the pub. Some will walk eastwards later, others might be keen on the Six Nations Rugby.
