Fostons Ash walk - Wednesday 21 September 2016 Previous Next A good crowd for Brian's walk from Fostons Ash We set off round a field Sheelagh back marking Interesting bracken and nettles Coffee stop Looking over Witcombe Reservoir We gather together Colourful shrubs in Cranham And the Union Jack on the Village Hall roof We walk up the quiet road Past a lake The sun shining at the end of the wood On Sheepscombe Common the National Trust Belted Galloways are hard at work While we eat our lunch, or, in Ray's case, pretend to sleep One of the Galloways is interested in us But the others, including a cute calf, move off Choosing the company of our illustrious leaders, who have distanced themselves from us A few flowers still around A bit of a flog up through Workman's Wood These logs make a good boot tying spot as we near the pub.
