Foston's Ash walk - Wednesday 30 October 2019 Previous Next All Backlit by Autumn sunshine Brian sets the scene for today's walk Our path takes us down through woods And over a stream Along a muddy track Where our progress is halted by people carrying buckets Further investigation reveals they are harvesting crayfish For relocating to other areas. We are given an interesting talk by a member of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust We eventually continue on our way Plenty of Autumn colour everywhere In the towering beech woods We soon come out onto the top of the hill And into Caudle Green We head down into the valley Before making our way back up Brian ducks under an electric fence kindly held up by Lawrence A rowan tree, I believe On through the village Before following a grassy track back out Past a polo yard And down through another beech wood With more vivid colours Before heading back uphill to the start Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
