Only the brave (or foolish) are out on a day like today for Richard and Di’s walk
Where tarmac roads are rivers
And so are footpaths
We swim down under the viaduct
And follow the canal path
Where a completely new lake has formed
Despite the mud, everywhere is very green in Dorval Wood

By a fast-flowing stream
We stop at Sapperton Church where Lawrence is amazed to find a phone in a telephone box
Marsh Marigolds in the canal
And Keith finds a Roman snail
