Frampton Mansell walk - Saturday 2 November 2019 Previous Next All If Guy Fawkes had had one of these, he would have made a better job of blowing up Parliament and saved us a lot of trouble But it's here for the Crown's firework display this evening- we are here to walk Although with a certain rugby match and the prospect of a wet walk only seven hardy ramblers made the right decision To be rewarded with plenty of lovely autumn colours and eventually some sunshine We leave the pub behind us heading out through the village Past the well appointed bus shelter More luxury accommodation for visitors Sky getting brighter Fortunately no galloping horses Our path follows the hedge Over a broken stile A wide verge down the side of the field Sky even brighter with patches of blue At coffee Brian reveals that it is his birthday and Ann hands out cake Then we continue to follow the right hand hedge towards the A419 Which we cross heading into woods Chance for a lie down? Sally going the other way Past the first rail tunnel ventilation shaft Then a second one which has a problem with its grillage Along a muddy woodland track Amazing colours Big tree Nearly back as we struggle over the hill With views across to Oakridge Then past the church back to the cars Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
