Frampton Mansell walk - Wednesday 29 May 2019 Previous Next It's a miserable day Down to the canal. Yellow flags coming out Is it raining or isn't it? Then cross fields Processing across to the A419 Where the access road, potholed for decades, finally has tarmac As we head for Tarlton, there are fields of wild flowers We stop for lunch in St. Osmund's Chapel in Tarlton By the artist Thomas Denny Outside there are non-working toilets that provide a bit of shelter Following a well marked path in the rain But these seem very friendly as we return to Frampton Mansell We cross the railway line and join the path where horses show interest And reach the Daneway We pass lovely gardens in Sapperton In a line Through Hailey Wood to the Tunnel House The pub seems to be watering something, not sure what The sheep trying to keep dry Where there are 4 stained glass windows Who later designed the Ivor Gurney window in Gloucester Cathedral And a very large Mexican orange We encounter a line of sheep who run away Photos, captions and uploading by Sally
