Gozo - Day 5 Previous Next A mini bus ride takes us back to the North of the island for our last day of walking (that isn't it!) Our walk starting on a small beach of golden sand Has anyone noticed? It is stunning We start to climb High above there is a cave Looking back down on the beach as we take a breather Reaching the cave we notice the back door A view from the cave We stop to take in the view Peter studying the coast below We leave through the back of the cave And take a small lane Fields of wildflowers Ros among the flowers An assortment of colours Almonds Bet they don't have any trouble with cats Lemons growing A downhill stretch Then uphill as we look back at the way we have come Colourful house name plate On the side of a van. Food for thought We continue through a small village Yellow flowers of unknown variety Down a rough path back towards the coast More steep cliffs Looking down at the sea Time for a dip. Not sure about the boots Looking back at the coast While Peter explores Ready to set off But we have a slight congestion problem A herd of goats and sheep A view out to sea Back along the road Turning uphill Giant fennel Not seen these before Into Nadur with its windmill Old bakery where locals deliver wood for the fire Watch out for the teeth In the town square we say farewell to our leaders While we wait in the shade for our bus Or have a beer in the sun Photos and captions by Richard, Sally and Ros, uploaded by Sally
