Ham walk - Wednesday 20 March 2019 Previous Next Franceska outlines her walk More later Spurge looking colourful A curious alpaca Is Keith feeding it, or stuffing grass up its nose? We're below the Hunting Tower of the Deer Park Views over to the Severn Deer A ramshackle gate at Bevington Farm The Severn Bridges in the distance, busy without the tolls Our first bluebells Keith has been rescuing footballs from the stream Some difficult stiles on this walk White violets We reach St. Michael's Church at Hill. Pretty graveyard. Pulmonarias A stile going nowhere Blackthorn is out. Newpark Farm - footpath blocked so we have to go up the drive Another blocked footpath and a temporary gate electrified. Franceska gets a shock. We spot a sheep unable to stand and three of us lift it to its feet It's standing but we're not sure what state it is in. Maybe the landowner should be thankful to have helpful walkers on his land! Uphill and then into the Deer Park Needs work Deer below us And some close by. Back at the Green, Franceska befriends the village cat Who clearly owns the place. Photos, captions and uploading by Sally
