Ham walk - Wednesday 4 July 2018 Previous Next The Salutation Inn at Ham The entrance to the Berkeley Estate We walk along the river, some using umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun Teasels Some water in the river We head across a field - path not reinstated And through another field of grass Berkeley Castle behind us And Stone in front We stop in All Saint's Church in Stone - interesting tower/spire The Deer Park ahead Sheep sheltering from the sun We walk through a mixed herd of cattle. Can anyone see a bull? No, there isn't one. Two Longhorn cows look at us In the Deer Park they seem to be cultivating ragwort Across the top of the Deer Park A view across to the Severn. Nice clouds The Hunting Lodge A herd of deer lower down Graham is more interested in the lime flowers Another group look at us And there's a bigger group on the path ahead Some set off to the left Others are undecided Then they ALL go! They've got a little water in this pond Ann liked this dead tree - thought it looked like a deer's head I prefer this one, as we head down to the Sally. Photos, captions and uploading by Sally
