It’s a miserable misty morning at Shortwood car park by Haresfield Beacon

But Tina leads us off through Autumn leaves on a path above the Cotswold Way to Bird in Hand

We cross the road and head down towards Pitchcombe

Stroud now visible

Past this lovely garden in Pitchcombe

And its neighbour that Jill has told us about many times (and I still can’t remember!)

I’ve walked past this house many times but never noticed this window

A field that used to be of grass and with views across the valley is now planted with maize and is difficult to find a route through

At Harescombe cosmos is still in flower

This is our lunch stop, after which we ascend the hill back to the car park
