Shortwood car park for Richard and Di’s walk but we’re mainly directing the runners to the right route

On our way to the topograph we pass some lovely thistles

In clumps

Everyone looks across from the topograph, over the top of Stonehouse to the clear view beyond

There’s orchids and rock roses everywhere

Down off the Beacon to the barn where everyone discusses whether the doll has changed

Past a pregnant Gloucester

A good Pyramidal orchid on Edge Common

Where we have our coffee stop

Then, as we’re leaving Edge Common, someone spots a bee orchid which Lawrence manages to get a good photo of, then it’s back through Pitchcombe Woods and the Bird in Hand to the car park
