Haresfield walk - Saturday 6 January 2018 Previous Next Huddled together for warmth in the Cripplegate Car Park Tim leads us over to the topograph - no time to stop But we do If only to watch a couple Of border collies being put through their paces Then it's off into the mist Over to the trig point on Haresfield Beacon No point looking at the view Following the Cotswold Way we pass the Cromwell Stone Still very gloomy Past the old well Guess this means something Looking up into the woods Our first stop Soon heading uphill Spotted something in the garden - should we tell them they are leaning on an electric fence? Heading downhill again Looking over to Whiteshill Soon reaching the village Yes, it's artificial That too Round to Ruscombe The famous village spring Hidden away below us As we climb back up Houses sprawling down the valley Stopping for our second break we watch a gardener hard at work Before continuing uphill And into Standish Woods Bringing up the rear As we walk through the woods With a last look down into the valley Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
