Haresfield Walk - Wednesday 7 June 2017 Previous Next Graham's walk from the pub car park at Haresfield It's an Echium, Olivia tells me We cross the road And go over the railway line Cranes from Javelin Park in the distance Looks like an old orchard One of many difficult stiles that hold us up A train passes while we queue And everyone has to wait until we're all over Horses on the horizon An idyllic cottage They are dying to get out in the field We bypass the farm House and dog in matching colours (and the sheets on the line were also white!) A wooden guard bird of prey Coffee outside this cottage A novel way to carry one's banana skin Several intrepid South Cots keep these at bay until we get through. They look more peaceful from this side of the hedge Stonehouse in the distance Another wait for a stile This one as bad as many Olivia backmarking through more peaceful cows We pass the construction site at Standish Gate Under the railway line No he isn't, Ann is A wooden owl Another wait Standish church in sight Through one field of wheat Round another Olivia still at the back Then it's beans Some people can hardly be seen in the beans Another terrible stile at Standish church It isn't any better from the other side And another We wait by the roadside Our rush to get back to the pub is thwarted by the train And then the light goes green Photos, captions, processing and uploading by Sally
