Hillesley walk - Saturday 21 December 2019 Previous Next All Some photos just don't need a caption Heading out of Hillesley Just in time for breakfast The old school at Alderley ahead of us As we stride out along a wide track Down to a small stream And over a bridge Crossing a soggy field And over another bridge In front of this house With its own lake And boathouse And some geese The going doesn't get any drier A lonely old tree Ready to take off Watching us as we walk past Continuing round the field Over a river Through the Nind Nature Reserve Lots of nature here Still by the river Where we stop for coffee At least the silly hat has gone More river Must be a mill stream Perhaps it doesn't nag as much He looks happy So do they Heading back across fields Almost a paddy field Into a thicket With paths everywhere And a bridge to cross In need of repair Through a tunnel More fields - Sally checking on stragglers Chance to step out along a narrow lane And for leader Colin to deliver a Christmas card Another pond Good use for an old railway carriage Back into Hillesley More ideas for Christmas decorations Through the village back to the pub Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
