Ron is ready to go - with a little help from Ros A recently cultivated fields starts our walk Then a field ready for ploughing A train rumbles by across the river As we head toward Purton May Hill in the distance Past Purton Church And over the Canal A pause as we head along the tow path A crested grebe And a garden decorated with gnomes And other animals Says it all On the banks of the Severn Now at the boats' graveyard Not yet ready for burial Long deceased This one's up a bit higher Even wooden wrecks A herd of cattle across the river We take a coffee stop Now approaching the docks A plaque commemorating the old Vindicatrix A faded Scarlet Lady Now a monument to the Vindicatrix This plaque is of interest to Helen The start of the Canal As we circle the Docks Then head back across fields to the start of our walk Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
