If you are a leader who doesn’t have a pre-organised backmarker who knows your route but rely on a volunteer in the car park beforehand, it would be very helpful if you could give them a copy of the map of your route so they know where you are going. Another option for people who use OSmaps to record their route is to send their route to someone else who is walking who also uses OSmaps. To do this, you need to get up your route, click on Options and Share. You then get a variety of ways to send this such as Hotmail, Gmail, Whatsapp, text message etc. If you need any help with this, ask Sally.
