We’re just waiting for a few people parked up the road for Mike and Elaine’s walk from the Royal Oak at Leighterton (where 7 of us had a very nice lunch afterwards)
Mike has designed this more as a footpath walk as the paths have not been reinstated and we’re the work horses doing the job instead
At a very high stile Mike positions a plastic bucket as a step up, but it starts to crack. Ask Carol for a quote!!
The footpath SHOULD be straight ahead
Coffee stop in the sun
Into the woods next to Westonbirt Arboretum
Where there are still swathes of wild garlic
Back to Leighterton where there are the graves of 23 Australian Flying corps airmen who died while training, maintained by the War Graves Commission
