Leisure Centre walk - Wednesday 25 January 2017 Previous Next John resplendent in yellow jacket in the Leisure Centre Car Park Everybody ready to go Heading off through the Park Along the model railway Then uphill towards Callowell Continuing up into the mist Having a rest Approaching Sherman's Wood Trees standing sentry Down a bank And over a stile into Pitchcombe Wood The view across the valley As we follow a woodland path Bruce Trail? Canada's longest footpath A new gateway brings us onto Edge Common Where we pick up the Cotswold Way And follow it down into the valley Painswick not far off Past an old mill Into Painswick with its old Lych Gate And into the churchyard for lunch Then down into the valley - watch your ankles And along the Painswick Stream Stopping for a chat Then following a narrow road to Sheephouse A steep slope carefully negotiated A bit of hedge trimming going on A buzzard on a telegraph pole On our right a new herd of alpacas As we head back into Stratford Park Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
