Malta - Day 3 Previous Next A short bus ride and we are in Valletta where white statues seem to be the order of the day Other types as well But mainly white Some quite unusual Typical street in old Valletta Stretching down to the sea Every town should have one Bit of history And another white statue The law courts - I think We catch sight of Ron coming out of M&S - has he taken his pyjamas back? Outside the Grand Masters' Palace One of its decorated ceilings And a state apartment Another state apartment Into the Armoury A cavalry officer One of the men at arms And guns of all shapes and sizes The courtyard is colourful There are palms Ros being brave Another side street Inside the church of St Paul's Shipwreck Doing what we do best We start making our way back to the ferry to cross the bay Past tenements of old houses Skyline of Valletta And looking across to the newer part of town Grey hair - is that me? Some of Valletta's old fortifications And more terraces of houses A reminder of Malta's part in the war The ferry arrives View from the ferry as we cross the bay Safely on the other side We start walking back To our hotel.
