Minchinhampton walk - Wednesday 18 December 2019 Previous Next All Steve scans the horizon for latecomers Before we head off across Besbury Common Past the Roundabouts A friendly face Looking towards Stroud Following a narrow lane To the top of Brimscombe Hill Winding down into the valley As we continue towards Swells Hill Then up onto the Common Heading across the wide open spaces Past a dew pond Into Amberley where Christmas is coming Coffee at the Church Hall plus cake from Steve and Rosemary and from the local Playgroup Then uphill taking the back way out Begs the question - was Stonehenge really protecting ancient grass verges from the new invention, the wheel? Into Box More Christmas Village spring On through Box The church with the golden spire Cottage with view down into the valley Still that time of year A winter landscape Now heading up into Minchinhampton The Church spire peeping over the roof tops A bit of window shopping Returning past the church Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
