Miserden walk - Wednesday 21 March 2018 Previous Next Kevin made us welcome with pre-walk coffees Special seat in the pub! We set off South into the warming sunshine ... ... and crunch through tired snowdrifts ... ... then slop and slide around this muddy corner After securing the gate ... ... we walk through lovely quiet woodland ... ... and pass behind Sudgrove House ... ... via Fox Wood before turning right and descending ... ... through Monsell Wood and crossing Holy Brook After the break we take the farm track up to Througham Slad Where Francesca mesmerises a cow We now follow the easy track northwards (apart from some storm damaged tree) This track gives us ... ... lovely views to the east back to Sudgrove House The timeless architecture of Througham Court ... ... and adjacent properties were enchanting. Queueing for another stile in the sunshine Dog with a driving licence - apparently? Down the concrete steps at Honeycombe Farm Dovecote and mis-spelled annex(e) sign "I’ll distract then while you nip through the gate, Mate." And finally, back into Miserden village in time for a good lunch Thanks to Olivia for standing in at short notice Photos and captions from Patrick, processing and uploading by Mike
